Nancy A. Donaldson has 25 years of experience advising governments, non-profits, corporations and unions as a lobbyist and political consultant on domestic and foreign policy matters before Congress, the White House and federal agencies. She was a lead advocate for seven European Union countries that secured progress on modernizing the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. Nancy has also represented internationally recognized scientists on nuclear non-proliferation, and advocacy to reduce global vulnerability to nuclear terrorism. Nancy has worked extensively on transatlantic relations, homeland security, energy, math & science innovation, international trade and economic policies. She worked on the successful, bipartisan legislative campaign to release congressionally-blocked U.S. funding to the UN.

During her career, Nancy has specialized in public interest and coalition advocacy. She has designed strategies and led U.S. coalition-based legislative campaigns for regulation of tobacco, healthcare reform and regulatory reform. She represented global corporate clients to support full funding of the UN AIDS Initiative, and international treatment and prevention strategies. She advises and works to advance the mission of the International Labor Organization on core labor standards and the decent work agenda with U.S. policymakers. Currently, Nancy serves on the Advisory Council of Women in International Security (WIIS), and the boards of World Neighbors, Peace PAC and the Holdeen India Fund.

Earlier in her career, she was the Legislative Director for the Service Employees International Union, the Washington Director of Women’s Action for New Directions, and a trial lawyer in private practice. She has served in various roles on state, local and national presidential campaigns and as a communications consultant to the Democratic National Committee. Nancy is married and has two teenage daughters.
